Protein function
Encodes a transcriptional corepressor that interacts with APETALA2-LIKE transcriptional repressors.
Phenotype
Single mutant: tpl single mutant displays multiple developmental defects. However,
tpl single mutant supresses the late-flowering phenotype of
TOE1 overexpressor.
[Causier et al., 2012] Remarks: TPL protein interacts with miR172-regulated
AP2-like transcriptional repressors.
[Causier et al., 2012] Function:Transcriptional corepressor. May repress the expression of root-promoting genes in the top half of the embryo to allow proper differentiation of the shoot pole during the transition stage of embryogenesis. Regulates the expression of PLT1 and PLT2. Negative regulator of jasmonate responses. Negative regulator of auxin responses.
