Protein function
Encodes a subunit of a CCAAT-binding transcriptional factor.
Phenotype
Multiple mutant: nf-yb2 and
nf-yb3 mutations show additive effects and supress the early flowering of the
SUC2:CO transgenic line.
[Kumimoto et al., 2008][Hou et al., 2014] Overexpressor: NF-YB3 overexpressor is early flowering under LD conditions only.
[Kumimoto et al., 2008] Single mutant: nf-yb3 single mutant is late flowering under LD conditions only.
[Kumimoto et al., 2008][Hou et al., 2014] Function:Component of the NF-Y/HAP transcription factor complex. The NF-Y complex stimulates the transcription of various genes by recognizing and binding to a CCAAT motif in promoters.
