Phenotype

Overexpressor:
MIR172 overexpressor is early flowering under both SD and LD conditions. [Yant et al., 2010][Lee et al., 2010][Jung et al., 2007][Jung et al., 2012][Jung et al., 2011][Aukerman et al., 2003]

Target mimicry:
Diminution of miR172 activity by target mimicry delays flowering. ( Diminution of miR172 activity also leads to flower defects.) [Galvão et al., 2012][Wollmann et al., 2010]

Remarks:
The expression of MIR172 is regulated both by GIGANTEA and gibberellins. [Jung et al., 2007][Galvão et al., 2012]
