Appears in the following schemes

Protein function

Encodes a Gibberellin-regulated protein involved in the promotion of GA responses.

Phenotype

Artificial microRNA:
GASA4 downregulation through artificial microRNA does not lead to any flowering-time phenotype. [Rubinovich et al., 2010]

Overexpressor:
GASA4 overexpressor is early flowering under SD conditions. [Rubinovich et al., 2010]

Remarks:
GASA4 is also involved in the control of flower development and is induced by gibberellins. [Roxrud et al., 2007][Aubert et al., 1998]

Function:
Gibberellin-regulated protein involved in the regulation of floral meristem and floral organ identity, and promotion of seed size and weight. May play a role in the promotion of gibberellin responses such as regulation of flowering under short-day conditions, seed germination and inhibition of gibberellin oxidase. Possesses redox activity in E.coli and may function in redox regulation in planta. [Data from UniProt]
